Featured: GEOPAVE® Porous Pavement System
Project: Citadel Alumni Parking Lot, Charleston, South Carolina
The GeoPave® system provided a green alternative to traditional asphalt parking for 117 parking stalls at the Citadel’s alumni parking. Confined in the GeoPave structure, the permeable aggregate is stabilized, allowing stormwater infiltration and reducing stormwater runoff. The system performs as a stormwater retention “basin”, and reduces the heat island effect associated with hard-surfaced pavements.

The Presto GeoPave System is the newest evolution in porous pavements, offering a better way to stabilize porous infill materials. This one-of-a-kind structural framework is the only pavement system specifically designed for containing and locking aggregate infill in place and resisting movement caused by repeated pedestrian or vehicle traffic loadings. You'll find an economical, permeable solution that offers stormwater benefits and performs to an H-20 loading with minimal base.
The GeoPave system contributes to LEED® credits for reducing site disturbance, reducing stormwater runoff, reducing the heat island effect and recycled material content.
