The Presto FilterPave® system is an inspiring pavement that offers customers a greener, more attractive hard-surfaced porous surface. FilterPave pavements can be designed to handle light-to-heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic loads. This unique pavement has architectural aesthetics, design flexibility, and environmental benefits that surpass standards for pavements of its kind.

REFLECT YOUR DESIGN VISION

Complement, contrast or enhance your landscape designs. The colorful mosaic of specially-processed, recycled variant-colored glass is enhanced with five colored pigments to give you design options. The strong, highly porous surface also reduces stormwater runoff and recycled materials conserve resources.

• Twice as porous as other hard-surfaced porous pavements (38%) results in a greater reduction of stormwater runoff and better resistance to clogging and maintenance requirements.
• The pavement is comprised of ~96% recycled materials including 100% post-consumer recycled glass, allowing the constructive use of abundant materials that are typically landfilled. In fact, about 90 beverage bottles are used in just one square foot of FilterPave pavement.
• A hardened surface with porosity comparable to open-graded base course (OGBC) allows the pavement to be designed to handle light-to-heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic loads. Its better-than-asphalt flexibility and higher compressive strengths are a result of the elastomeric binder.
• The FilterPave surface is as safe as any traditional pavement on which to walk or drive. The high-strength natural binder that bonds the pavement is also safe for plant and marine life.
