Presto GeoRunner® Flow Protection Mats is a low-cost option for protecting embankments from scour and the erosive effects caused by water flow. They're a series of light-weight, durable mats that protect surfaces from intermittent and concentrated surface flows, water fluctuations and light wave action.

The interconnected mats are ideal for protecting drainage ditches/ways, culvert outfalls, spillways, stormwater channels and shoreline embankments exposed to concentrated flows or fluctuating water. GeoRunner mats are effective in areas where ECBs and TRMs cannot be used and are nearly "invisible" once fully vegetated.

CONTRACTOR-FRIENDLY MATS

Contractors prefer GeoRunner mats over concrete systems because they are less expensive, easier to install, and are less obtrusive. An open mesh design allows dense grass growth through the openings, increasing system stability, reducing visibility and providing a more natural blending with the environment. The mats are securely anchored to resist pull-out caused from saturated soils.
